ZAJEL to unveil future plans for Smart services at GITEX 2018

DUBAI, 13th October, 2018 (WAM) — ZAJEL, the UAE’s national courier and logistics services company, will be showcasing its Smart services, achievements and strategic plans during its participation in the GITEX Technology Week at the Dubai World Trade Centre, DWTC, from 14th to 18th October.

The 38th edition of the much-anticipated Gulf Information Technology Exhibition, GITEX, is expected to draw more than 4,000 exhibitors from more than 100 countries. The show will take place across 1.4 square million feet and 21 halls divided into sectors.

ZAJEL will utilise the platform to showcase its products and smart services to the public as part of the stand of its mother company, emaratech, which specialises in information technology and software.

This year’s participation assumes significance in view of the huge developments witnessed by ZAJEL in terms of its operations and quality of services, the launch of the company’s five-year strategy and new organisational structure.

The strategy and organisational restructuring are aimed at launching a special platform for digital commerce and a portal for smart payment to match the dynamics of their courier services, which is currently witnessing rapid transformations.

Khawla Kabanji, Chief Executive Officer of ZAJEL, said, “Our participation in GITEX is a natural result of the company’s achievements. It comes also thanks to the 25 per cent growth in operations in 2017 compared with 2016 and is projected to increase during our five-year (2018-2023) strategy, which aims at expansion into new markets to ensure steady growth.

“The focus will now be on digital business, as this represents the current market trend. Therefore, we aim to get a good market share by being the first courier choice for our customers and a reliable strategic partner for all players in the digital business, driven, as we are, by future technology,” the CEO added.
