Zayed’s devotion to humanitarianism remembered: NMC Director-General

ABU DHABI, 4th June, 2018 (WAM) — Marking Zayed Humanitarian Work Day, Mansour Ibrahim Al Mansouri, Director-General of the National Media Council, NMC, noted the importance of the occasion for UAE nationals and residents “to recall the great devotion that the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Founding Father of the UAE, had for charity and humanitarian work, which embodies the noble values of our society that compel us to come to the aid of those in need anywhere in the world.”

In a statement, Al Mansouri went on to say that Sheikh Zayed’s commitment to humanitarian work has propelled the UAE to the fore in terms of charity and philanthropy.

“Under the guidance of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, our country follows in the footsteps of its Founding Father, embedding his values in the hearts of UAE citizens and residents. This is made evident through our celebration, year after year, of this occasion, as well as through the numerous humanitarian and charitable initiatives,” he continued.

“The UAE, thanks to its impressive track record in this sector, has earned the respect and appreciation of the international community, which now regards our country as a role model in spreading hope and happiness,” he concluded.
